There is no better time of the year than Fall to remember one of the most important lessons we can learn in our journey of spirituality – letting go.
As mothers and entrepreneurs seizing control can be tricky. After all, it isn’t an inherent quality in the entrepreneur (or moms for that matter). We are action-oriented and independent. Give us our calendars, schedules, and big goals and watch the magic happen!
However, from the beautiful Fall season we can gain some of the most valuable insights into how to gracefully let go of the attitudes that no longer serve us.
Here are 3 insights we learn from Letting go:
Let go of the attitude that you and only you are responsible for doing all of it.
Imagine if every tree felt responsible for the breeze, colder temperatures and reduced sunlight that leads to it having those beautiful fall-colored leaves. What pressure!
What can we learn from trees about our own approach to our businesses? D-E-L-E-G-A-T-I-O-N. As you grow as an entrepreneur and individual it’s important to collaborate with others and give others the chance to help you grow your business.
If you’re an excellent speaker and presenter, but a poor appointment-keeper, invest in a program or person who will help make appointments easier to keep track of.
True leaders know that they benefit from focusing on certain aspects of their business and leaving others to the pros in that area. By doing so, you’re also helping someone else develop the skills they love. It’s a win-win.
Let go of your perception of rejection. What does the word rejection conjure up in you? How does it make you feel? If it makes you feel anything other than protected it’s time to let go of your idea of what rejection really is. In business – and life – you are going to face rejection.
Clients or customers are going to dislike your product. Someone is not going to answer your emails about collaborating. Business partners are going to ghost you. It happens to me all the time and to be honest it doesn’t matter to me at all.
On my journey of spirituality, I’ve learned that the walls I often thought were meant to contain me were actually walls meant to protect me. Just as the trees know better leaves will emerge next spring, so should you know people and circumstances that are better aligned with you will bloom in time. When rejection arrives welcome it and be grateful!
Let go of HOW. The Law of Attraction tells us that we can have anything we put our minds to. “If you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hands.” I’ve seen this work in my own life time after time.
What you can’t do is try to figure out or decide the how. If you are looking to achieve a certain outcome in your business or in your role as mom, you must let go of the idea of how it has to happen.
Your job as a manifestor is to know that it will happen and however it comes to be is the business of the Universe. Remember that the trees do not know in which order their leaves will change colors only that they will.
When we allow ourselves to let go a bit, we gain in spirit what we lose in letting go. This year, the pandemic and Fall season combined have taught us that we should always put our best foot forward and allow ourselves to gracefully shed parts of us that no longer serve us. Happy Fall!
